Back to Lakka

We finally left the marina after 10 days and headed off to Lakka on Paxos, the next island down from Corfu, and a favourite of ours. The water is still  green and clear but, as I discovered on leaping off the side as soon as we got there, still a bit cold! It’s about 32C every day now so will soon warm up.

It was a bit special sitting on the back of the boat on the first night having a cold beer and watching the sunset. It’s been 21 months since we had to abandon Matilda in Mallorca and we didn’t know what the future held.  I don’t think either of us ever thought we’d be back doing anything quite as amazing as this again.  But one thing we’re good at is if we can’t follow our dream, we change the dream.  And this one will do very well.

From the bottom left clockwise Azure blue and blue water, Navy blue and blue water, blue and turquoise water, navy and aquamarine water, green water and red toenails. Plus our new anchor.

  1. oh just beautiful….I can imagine the sound of the water, the smell of the sea and the blissfulness of it all. I’m so delighted you’re back living the dream – an inspiration to us all…..Happy Birthday to you both.
